Windows 2008 R2 Terminalserver - set Firefox as default browser

Problem

Firefox as to be set als default browser.

A mandatory user profile is installed and is applied to the user when he logs on. But if he klicks on a weblink, the interneet Explorer starts and shows the content.

Solution

An admin user log on, the one who creates the serverbased profile. He changes the default settings.

open the Control Panel
klick on 'Programs'
klick on 'Default Programs'
klick on 'Set your default programs'
At 'Default programs' klick on Firefox and then right below at 'Set this Program as default.

The admin user logs of. An other admin los on and exports the profil to an appropriate place.

The user logs on and klicks on a web link in an email and firefox should open.
